Depending how far the steel is banged in the ground, the Bod stands approx 1.7m high. Jim Moir, aged 9, invented the Oakbod whilst at his dad's workshop. He took parts of cleft oak gates and fencing under construction and put them together to make a wooden man. Dad thought this was such a good idea that he decided to take the idea forward. After many prototypes they came up with a final design they were both happy with.
